Halton police are investigating following a pair of Oakville break-ins where suspects allegedly came in through second-floor house windows.
On Saturday, March 30 at around 10:30 p.m., three people approached a residence on McDonald Road and somehow made their way up to a second-floor bathroom window, said Const. Jeff Dillon, Halton Police Media Officer.
It’s alleged the individuals smashed the window and made their way inside where they stole cash and jewelry.

Dillon said residents were upstairs at the time of the break-in and called police.
He said the intruders did not confront the residents, but fled the scene as police arrived.
The suspects were able to escape and could only be described as wearing dark clothing.
Dillon said a similar break-in was reported the same day on nearby Chamberlain Lane, although it is unclear exactly when the break-in took place as no one was home at the time.

Just like on McDonald Road, Dillon said, suspects smashed a second-floor bathroom window to get inside.
It’s alleged the intruders stole jewelry before fleeing the area.
